DATMAN PTY LTD (ABN 90 617 500 419), trading as Damospay (“we”, “us”, “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, business name, phone number, email address and business address, for example when you fill in a form on our website, call us or message us.
- Business and identity information: ABN, business structure, details of business owners and directors, and identity documents, which we and our payment partners must collect to verify merchants and meet anti-money laundering and card scheme requirements.
- Financial information: bank account details for settlements and direct debits, and payment card details where you pay us by card.
- Transaction information: details of card transactions processed through our services, such as amounts, dates and card types.
- Website information: technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies (see section 6).
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess and set up your merchant account, deliver and support our products, process payments and settlements, bill you, prevent fraud, meet our legal and regulatory obligations, and tell you about our products (you can opt out of marketing at any time).
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to provide our services or as required by law, including with:
- our payment partners, such as Tyro Payments Limited and Adyen, for merchant onboarding, verification and payment processing;
- banks and card schemes involved in processing and settling transactions;
- service providers who help us run our business, such as Google (website forms, which are stored in Google Sheets, and advertising measurement), Zoho (email), couriers and IT providers;
- government agencies and regulators where required by law (for example AUSTRAC).
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we store and protect it
We store personal information in secure systems with access limited to staff who need it. Card details are handled by our PCI DSS-compliant payment partners, and we do not store full card numbers. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then securely delete or de-identify it.
5. Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us (details below). We will respond within 30 days. If you have a privacy complaint, please contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (www.oaic.gov.au).
6. Cookies
Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored by your browser:
- Essential cookies that make the website work;
- Advertising and measurement cookies from Google (Google Ads), which help us measure how our advertising performs; and
- Third-party content cookies, which YouTube may set when you play an embedded video. Our videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work. To control Google’s ad personalisation, visit adssettings.google.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its “last updated” date.
